Several years ago, when Oprah first aired her TV special about her School in Africa, I was so inspired for these young girls, they had been given such a wonderful opportunity.
My feelings about it were so strong, I felt I needed to find a way to express them. So I sat down and created a book with a few of my photos, along with some of my favorite inspirational quotes.
I had the book printed, and sent to Oprah’s studio in Chicago, asking them to please forward it to the girls at her school. It was a small token of acknowledgment and encouragement for the journey they were taking.
I share with you here the images and some of my favorite quotes from my book.
